The advent of new technologies, speedier communications and changing market conditions has created a new breed of companies - Advanced Small Businesses (ASBs).
ASBs are small companies that have developed clear and rapidly accelerated paths to becoming national or global leaders in their fields within a specified timeframe. We share many of the same challenges as traditional businesses, but we differ in that:
· We often are the creators of new technology, new services or other new concepts that create jobs, improve the world and drive our economy.
· We have greater and more complex capital, staffing and support service needs than traditional small businesses because of our rapid growth plans.
· We have had no specific, organized representation prior to ASBA formation in 2002.
The Advanced Small Business Alliance was created to study the issues that face ASBs and insure good representation within Industry and Government.
